KUALA LUMPUR, March 15 (Bernama) -- SME Corp Malaysia has introduced the Innovation Certification for Enterprise Rating and Transformation Programme (1-InnoCERT) to help identify and certify innovative small medium enterprises (SMEs) in Malaysia.

Its Deputy Director Mohd Izham Abdullah said the 1-InnoCERT assesses the organisation's ability to innovate, produce and commercialise, as well as measure management ability to plan, manage, respond to change and innovate.

"Our objective is to foster and support them to be global innovative competitive players.

"Having the 1-InnoCERT certification will help a company to progress further with greater accolades and privileges," he added.

Companies with the 1-InnoCERT are eligible for the Green Lane Policy, which allows them to enjoy finance facilities, tax incentives and government procurement.
