KUALA LUMPUR, June 20 (Bernama) -- Telekom Malaysia Bhd has appointed Azizi A Hadi as the new executive vice-president for its small and medium enterprise (TM SME) segment with immediate effect.

It said Azizi will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of TM SME's operations in fulfilling its aspirations to be the preferred communications partner for SMEs in Malaysia, whilst pushing the SMEs up the value chain to boost their competitive advantage locally and internationally through TM's diverse and end-to-end ICT solutions.

"We trust Azizi will drive his already strong and capable SME team to greater heights with a focus on the acquisition of new customers through services such as UniFi, whilst expanding and strengthening our Go-to-Market channels to reach more SMEs," said group chief executive officer Datuk Seri Zamzamzairani Mohd Isa in a statement.

He said TM SME would further strengthen its leading edge in this market segment by offering more value-added services beyond telecommunications access such as hosted applications and basic ICT services, to position itself as the preferred partner for Malaysian SMEs.
