SOLJET PRO III XC-540MT
VersaWorks RIP Software Print/Cut Advantage Quadralign For laminating graphics, simply remove prints, laminate and reload them for precision cutting. The Quadralign four-point optical registration system automatically realigns the cutting path and compensates for skew and distortion. The XC-540MT also functions as stand-alone vinyl cutter. ECO-SOL MAX Ink ECO-SOL MAX is a remarkable innovation in ink technology, offering fast drying time, high density, wide color gamut, rugged scratch resistance, low cost per square foot, and broad uncoated media support. In addition, ECO-SOL MAX is virtually odorless. For the standard XC-540MT configuration, ECO-SOL MAX comes in CMYK+Mt+W ink sets (220ml cartridges). A double white model is also available (CMYK+WW). ECO-SOL MAX graphics are water and UV resistant up to 3 years outdoors* for CMYK graphics, up to 1 year outdoors for White ink and 1-3 years outdoors for Metallic Silver ink. * Outdoor durability is based on accelerated weather tests. Results may vary depending upon location and application. Dry times vary depending on specific media characteristics. Lamination may be required for some applications or environmental conditions. Roland Intelligent Pass Control Technology Roland Intelligent Pass Control technology developed by Roland software engineers represents the pinnacle of inkjet printing. This patent-pending system precisely controls dot placement between passes and delivers unprecedented imaging performance in all resolutions. The technology actually enhances image quality at higher print speeds thereby increasing productivity. As a result, the XC-540MT produces smooth gradations and flawless solid colors while achieving faster throughput with virtually no banding in all print modes. Advanced Media Handling A true production printer, the XC-540MT features an upgraded media feed and take-up system accommodating rolls of up to 66 lbs. for long, unattended printing. Seven permanent repositionable pinch rollers enhance image quality through even the longest print runs. In addition, the XC-540MT features media guides, a vacuum platen and twin head heights to ensure correct media feed for thin or lighter media. Integrated Tri-Heater System The XC-540MT’s integrated tri-heater system dries prints quickly even in high-speed modes for immediate finishing, installation or collection by the take-up system. The system features three components: a pre-heater that improves media receptiveness, a print heater to accelerate ink fastness and brightness, and a dryer to accelerate the drying process and improve productivity, workability and scratch resistance. All can be controlled from either the printer panel or Roland VersaWorks. DU-540 Dryer System The DU-540 heater/blower is included with the XC-540MT. Depending on the media, it is necessary to use the included DU-540 dryer/blower unit to ensure proper ink adhesion and to assist with dry times. the DU-540 is also recommended to be ON when printing with the metallic silver and white ink configuration. Roland recommends 15 minutes of drying time in order for the metallic silver or white ink to dry fully. This is important in print modes where CMYK is printed on top of white or metallic silver. Testing prior to beginning production is highly recommended. Reliability As with all Roland inkjet printers, the XC-540MT is a virtually bulletproof production machine. With regular maintenance, it will provide years of trouble-free service. But, unlike most inkjets that require daily maintenance, the XC-540MT requires servicing significantly less often. The XC-540MT ink system features a motor-driven elevator that automatically adjusts to print head height. It has wipers that clean two heads at a time and flush the ink on each pass. High-Speed Network Connection Equipped with Roland’s own 100 BASE-TX/10 BASE-T interface, the XC-540MT connects seamlessly to office networks without additional software, achieving an increased data transmission rate of 100 Mb/sec. This makes it easy to configure a highly efficient printing environment. ECO-SOL Media ECO-SOL Media is developed especially for Roland ECO-SOL MAX ink and includes a wide selection of competitively priced, uncoated adhesive-backed vinyls and other popular substrates. The line-up currently consists of glossy, matte, clear and translucent calendered, premium cast vinyl, premium reflective vinyl, view-through vinyl, flame retardant scrim banner, blockout scrim banner and solvent glossy paper. All Roland media is carefully tested and profiled to consistently achieve high-quality results. Reliability As with all Roland inkjets, the XC-540MT offers years of reliable service, even in the most demanding shop environments. Each one is built with solid construction and enhancements for precise media control. It also features print head maintenance systems for unmatched mechanical reliability. Low Running Costs ECO-SOL MAX boosts the performance of Roland’s SOLJET, VersaArt and VersaCAMM inkjets at low running costs that both you and your customers will appreciate.
