KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 22 (Bernama) -- Seventeen small-and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) received their audit reports under the guidance of the Halal Industry Development Corporation (HDC) at an audit presentation and seminar today.
The event, hosted under Halal Business Transformation Programme, aims to boost competitiveness among SMEs and to facilitate halal trade to drive economic regeneration for SMEs, thus building them into export-ready companies.
In line with the objective to produce more export-ready halal certified SMEs, the HDC had recruited 116 companies under the Halal Incubation Companies Nurturing programme, part of the Halal Business Transformation.
Under the SME Corp standard (SCORE), the companies will be analysed according to seven different business acuments, capabilities such as management; production; business; quality; innovative; technical; and financial.
SCORE will determine the type and module of assistance provided by the
